State Track Meet

This weekend was so much fun! And, Wesley and Melanie did so well. Wesley got 3rd place in the javelin with 169-07. Wesley and the guy who took 2nd place were within a foot of each other. He is from PV and threw 170-04....talk about close. The guy that took first place was amazing, throwing 191-10. Last year Wes took 5th at State, so we're thinking he'll improve 2 spots each year......5th, then 3rd, and next year 1st?! He didn't place in the High Jump, but then again, he had only done it twice before. It was so much fun to watch my baby brother and support him.Melanie took 1st Place in the Shot Put with a distance of 37-6.50.And Mel was third in the discus with a distance of 107-05. Way to go Melanie!!!Here are a few pictures of me and the kids hanging out in the sun on Friday and Saturday. We loaded up on the sunscreen since we are so pale and burn so easily. However, Kourtney got her daddy's complexion.....she's already tan today, while Lexi and I are white as ever. The kids were tuckered-out after 2 long days in the sun. They were all three asleep before we even hit the freeway and slept all the way to Blanco. It was great!!
I had so much fun, but I definitely couldn't have pulled it off without my family. My mom and dad are amazing and helped me tremendously. Megan and Nolan and Kaitlin were lifesavers as well. And, thank goodness for cousins like Jordan and Emily to keep them entertained in between events. Thanks so much to my family for helping me out a ton!!!!! And, even better, next year our house will be done so that Jeremy can join me!

For the record: I came back in a good mood.....not bald, thank goodness!

You're brave to go it alone! How fun to watch the sibs be superstar track athletes.

The only thing my sibs were good at is being annoying. They still rock at it.

Of course we are going to Derek's wedding! We are really excited to go back to our own wedding temple, yet again. We are driving there that morning. Are you guys getting a hotel in Manti? Sadly we won't be able to make it to the reception though. We are poor and David also can't take off work.
