Today we had to make yet another trip to the Doctor. Andrew has thrush, and gave it to me as well. But, we got some meds and we're good to go. Also, the Dr. checked his lungs, and the RSV is SOOOOOO much better! Such a relief! Drew hadn't been weighed since he was two weeks old. With the RSV, they didn't stick him on the scale since he was so sick and all that junk. So, today, we put him on (didn't strip him down though) and he has gained 3 pounds in the last month! I knew he was packing it on, but I didn't think he had porked up that much. But, I am so grateful that he's healthy and developing well. Just look at those chubby cheeks!
Drew is such a sweet baby boy, and like his shirt says, he has completely stolen my heart! He is growing so fast and changing every day and he brings so much joy in my life.
Since I'm over my pity-party, my friend Keri inspired me to write a few things I love, so here goes:
I love my sweet little family! I love Lexi's big brown eyes. I love Kourtney's squeaky little voice. I love being a stay-at-home mom. I love wasting time online to wind down when the kids go to bed, no matter how sleepy I am. I love watching reality TV shows (American Idol, Survivor, Next Top Model, etc.). And last of all, I love the sweet things that children say. Here are a few from yesterday....
As I was cleaning the toilet, Lexi looks at me and said "Wow mom! You're doing a really good job! That potty looks so pretty. Good job mom! I'm proud of you." I felt so appreciated!
After the press conference announcing the new prophet, I was explaining to my girls what had just happened. We had talked about the passing of President Hinckley the previous week and I was telling them about the new prophet and how much he loves us. Then, at dinner last night, Kourtney looked at Jeremy and said "Daddy...President Hinckley died. Sad. President Monson new prophet. President Monson loves mommy!" It was too cute.
