Lexi is now officially in kindergarten! I seriously can't believe that my baby girl is old enough for this. Today was the first day of school, and I was a nervous wreck! But, she did great and loved it, and I only cried a little bit.
My family has been giving me grief for a while about not letting her ride the bus, but I just couldn't do it today. And to be honest, I don't know if I will any time soon either. So, Jeremy was kind enough to go into work a little late so he could stay home with Kourt and Drew while I took Lexi. So, onto the pictures.....
Doesn't she look adorable?
Why did she have to grow up so fast?
Waiting in the gym while the principal sorted out classes and grades (it was mass chaos).
Finally to her classroom.
Ready to learn?! I hope so.
We were so anxious to pick Lexi up from school! There were so many cars and people, that I couldn't get a picture of her in front of the school or with her teacher, so we just took one in the car after I picked her up.
And her sister and brother definitely missed her too!
Lexi said she had a great time, and loved school. She told me all about her day, and said it was lots of fun. She loves her teacher, and had several friends from pre-school and soccer in her class. But the best part of her report was when she said, "I really missed you though mom! I love you!" My heart melted and I started crying again.....do I really have to send her back tomorrow?
I also learned what Lexi thought of her summer. They were supposed to draw a picture of what they did for the summer. Lexi drew a picture of a TV. Great! When I asked her why the TV, she replied that it was because she watched movies all summer long. Although our summer hasn't been extremely eventful, she did play outside and go to swimming lessons almost every day from June to August, she read books, played games, played with cousins and friends, and many more things. But apparently, watching TV was her favorite.
Drew and Kourt actually did great today as well. They played together really well. It was a totally different ballgame with out the bossy big sister telling them what to do. Even though they had fun with out her, they both really missed Lexi. Drew kept wandering around the house looking for her and calling her name. And Kourt asked a billion times if it was 3:00 yet? It was cute, but made me miss my girl even more. But all in all, it was a great first day for my little kindergartner!

I love her freckles! First day of school pictures are some of my favorites.
Amanda she does look adorable! Isn't it sad? I feel worse this year than I did last year! I'm glad she had a good time...that is very important!
I know I cried like a baby when kyesun started kinder. Lexi looks so grown up and cute for her first day! I was starting to get choked up when I was reading about the part that she missed you. That was sooo sweet and now adays I pretty much cry about everything. lol These pregnancy hormones are totally killing me. lol
So cute. I'm glad she liked her teacher. :)

Wow! Can you believe you have a kindergartner?
She looks so cute!
It's a good thing when the kids are excited. It makes it a wee bit easier, but not easy! So glad she had a great first day! I love the picture too of all of them and the happy reunion at the end of the day!
Wow! She is getting so tall! She is so cute, I could tell by her pictures how excited she was. I loved the one with her siblings huggin her! Too cute! I am sorry you were sad tho! I hope it gets easier for you! Glad she liked it!
Oh wow, she is looking so big and cute! Im glad that she liked school, and thats funny about the TV haha, thats probably what Broc would say if he was asked cause he loves TV so much, lol.
I'm glad Lex was excited to be at school. I seem to remember that her mother cried everyday for the first two weeks! Why? She thought that mom and Meg and Bubba were at home having a party without her. Little did she know that we were all just as sad as she was. Enjoy those kiddos. They grow up way too fast.
Great blog. I love the pictures. She is just an angel in class. She will be a great help to me. The TV was a surprise to me too.
She looks adorable! Such a big girl!
I don't even know how I will handle sending kids to school. At first I will probably miss them and cry a lot, but I can't help but think it might be sort of nice after a while. I have a while to prepare myself for that one though. :-)
The TV picture is funny. Mom said she is the smartest one in her class. It's hard on a mom that first day for sure.
