It was a nice Sunday afternoon. Tummy's were full from a yummy dinner with the family, a baby boy and his dad were taking an afternoon nap, the big sister was watching a movie with me on the couch, and the middle child was next door visiting grandma and grandpa. All of the sudden a beeping sound is heard in a distant room. It sounds like a cell phone. Oh, it couldn't be......no one texts me except for my family, and I just saw them 20 minutes ago. Oh wait, there is another beep. I go to investigate, and I have two pictures waiting for me. My thoughts.......Kourt must be making silly faces next door again, they probably just sent me a picture of it. Oh, how I was wrong!
I text Wesley back, saying I'm confused what the picture is all about. Then I check the next picture waiting on my phone......
Poor Kourt had me, both of my sisters, and my parents all working on her hair. The ice just seemed to make the situation worse, so we moved into the dining room to try peanut butter. Kourt was hysterical by this point, so I just held her while my sisters went to work.
She did not want peanut butter in her hair at all. My mom suggested that we google it to find another alternative. Kourt heard this, and cried "I don't want you to google my hair!" (I don't think she has a clue what google even is.)
My dad kept saying over and over that we were going to have to cut it out. I was not having any of that......we WERE NOT cutting her hair no matter how long it took.
So, despite Kourt's cries, we dumped on the peanut butter and got to work. Except, we only had chunky peanut butter. Some of us (Megan and Kaitlin) were more gentle than others (DAD), but eventually we got it out bit by tiny little bit. I'm not kidding when I say it took over an hour. It was really stuck in her hair all the way to the scalp.
After all the silly putty was out, she had a head full of nutty hair.Kourt got to wash her hair in grandma's kitchen sink,
wrap a towel on her head "like a big girl",
and use grandpa's brush to brush her hair. And, no scissors were involved so that made mom very happy!
THE END

Awwww, Poor Kourt..... How exactly did the putty get stuck in her hair??? Who taught her to put it on her head? hmmmm...... these are the real questions.... do i need to call the cops? LOL
I still can not believe she did that! Maybe she should have just put it in Ojo's hair!!
Crazy Girl!
WOW!!! I vow to never have silly putty in my house for the next 10 years... So glad you were able to work it out. I can't imagine cutting her hair right there!
I can say this was really funny to me because I wasn't the mommy fretting about her daughters hair. Had it been me...I would have been in tears!
"I don't want you to google my hair...."
Im rolling!
Poor thing!
Oh my gosh that is sooooo sad!
I've tried google in my hair before. It works quite well! :) Poor Kourt, but I have to admit that is a pretty funny post.
That is so sad but hilarious! She is such a cutie and thank goodness you didn't have to cut it out of her hair.
hahah i don't want you to google my hair. that was a funny day.
Sounds like a really interesting day! I wouldn't want to Google my hair either! Payton fell asleep and got gum in her hair once, I didn't want to cut it either! Thank goodness for peanut butter, plus they smell yummy afterwards!
Oh my! I used goo gone to get glitter lava out of hair and for gum. It took a few minutes. Peanut butter is oh so much safer though! What a brave girl! The pics make me sad! Glad you were successful!
What a brave girl to hang in there while you all worked to get it out. And what a stinker for getting it in there in the first place.
Awww! How sad and funny! I don't want to google my hair either Court!!! I am glad you got it out! I just can't help but wonder tho....who decided to try peanut butter for the first time? Who first thought that another sticky should take out a sticky? People are crazy but it pays off for the rest of us huh?!?! I am glad you didn't have to cut her hair!
Who knew peanut butter was good for so many different things. At least I know now. But that was pretty funny.
Wow! I have been through many awful situations lately and I NEVER want to add that one to my list...Good job staying calm and getting it out!!!
