I'm sure by now that most of you have come to realize that my sweet little 2-yr old is very 'busy' and 'curious'. Well, she also does not like to wear her shoes. The instant we get into the car, she is taking them off. I can't even count the number of times I've been driving down the road and out of the corner of my eye, I see a shoe flying past me and landing on the dashboard. Last year, we went to the County-Fair, and when we arrived, she had two sandals on....but when we left, she only had one on (she was riding in a stroller the whole time to my credit). Well, today we had another shoe adventure. This week girls dresses are 50% off at JC Penny, so I thought I'd brave the mall and go look for some dresses for my girls for Easter. I'm terrible about procrastinating and waiting until the last minute sales. So, for those of you who are familiar with the Animas Valley Mall, here's how it went.
Started off at JC Penny. Kourt is in the front seat of the double stroller, Drew in the car seat in the back of the stroller, Lexi walking along with me. Look around Penny's to see if I like anything. Decide to go to Dillard's to see what they have. Walk to Dillard's.....everything I like is too expensive. On to Sears. Cute dresses, but not what I want. Walk all the way back down the mall to JC Penny's. Pick out a dress for Lexi (couldn't find one for Kourt), and walk up to pay. Walk around the front of the stroller, and wait, Kourtney doesn't have any shoes or socks on. She has a sock in her hand.....they must be around here somewhere. Put the dress back and look for shoes. Shoes aren't anywhere.....Oh NO! These are brand new tennis shoes I just purchased last Friday!!!! You've got to be kidding me! Walk all around Penny's, no shoes....time to back track. Back down to Sears....Oh, a sock on the way. Pick up the sock, continue to Sears. There's a shoe, now where's the other one? Back down to Dillard's. There's the other shoe! Thank goodness. Throw both shoes and socks in the bottom of the stroller, back to Penny's, pay for the stinkin dress, and leave with a smile. Kiss my sweet little 2 year old as I buckle her into her car seat and tell her never to take her shoes off in the store again. Sigh to myself as I'm thinking how much I can't wait until it's warm enough for $3 flip-flops that I don't care if they get lost. The End!
Good thing I love these sweet little feet.....
The missing but now found shoes and socks.....

O my! Sounds like you had an adventure!
Could it be a girl thing? My Lexy is the same way. I don't have any crazy stories like that...but I totally agree with the $3 flip flops!
She never stops making me laugh! Gotta love her! I'll take her any day! I know where she is coming from!
I am so glad you said she was being a stinker too. I always wonder if I'm the only mom that gets frustrated when kids do stuff like this. I feel like I need a bubble bath and a HUGE candy bar when days like this happen.
