A bedtime conversation

It was only about 10 minutes past bedtime. The kids were sleepy, and a bit cranky I might add. Teeth were brushed, pj's were on, prayers were said, and it was time to tuck everyone into bed. The girls trotted off to their room, and climbed into bed. As Jeremy and I said goodnight to them, Kourtney put the biggest scowl on her face. She promptly told us, her parents, "I'm mad at you. You did something wrong!" in a very stern voice. Jeremy and I glance at each other, and then back to Kourt. Jeremy calmly and kindly asked what we did wrong as I roll my eyes and try not to chuckle......I'm used to her antics I guess. She replied, "You didn't put me to bed when I was ready. And now I'm tired and grouchy and it's all your fault!" Jeremy starts to say something, but hesitates. I try to say something, but I'm afraid I'll just laugh. Then, out of no where, Lexi replies, "Sheesh Kourt! They're doing the best they can!" Needless to say, at that point, Jeremy and I could no longer contain our laughter (which made Kourt even madder). So, we both apologized to our little princess, and kissed her goodnight. And now our new family mantra is...........Sheesh, I'm doing the best I can!

Our good news does mean we are moving back! We actually might end up in Kirtland too!!! which will be way better for our get togethers then we dont have to drive forever back home lol. See you soon

Ha! That's great! Everything's always my fault at my house too! Where'd these clever little kids come from? This gave me a great chuckle! I don't think I'd be able to contain my laughter either!

Totally rolling!!

Favorite thing I have heard all day!

Funny thing is, I always wondered if kids every understood that we are in fact doing the best we can! Apparently, one of yours does, so be proud!!

I love it!
