House Update

Things are moving again at our house, finally! But the closer we get, the more stressed out I get. And, not for reasons you might think. Here's why......I am a decorating idiot! Seriously, I really am. I don't have 'the eye' for it. I put a couple of pictures on the wall and call it good. If I ever think I need anything more, I just call my sister Martha Stewart, I mean Megan, yeah her name is Megan. She always has the cutest ideas. But here's the kicker. There is just way too much to pick out....I can't possibly expect my sister to make all these decisions for me. Cabinets, door styles, wood color, counter tops, tile, carpet, wood flooring, shingle color, exterior paint color, decking type and color, rock style, rock color, interior paint colors, appliances, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on and on and on. It makes my head hurt! Today I picked out paint colors for the siding....ahhhh! If there is anyone who wants to make all these decisions for me, let me know! So, when my house is all done, and nothing matches, and all of the colors clash, please don't make fun of me. Just pretend that it looks great, matches perfectly, and indulge me with fake comments on how great I did........OK? :)

On a good note, if things work out well, we still should be in by Christmas and Drew's birthday! YAY!

The biggest thing I can think of is to take samples of everything and hold them up together. I love every single item in our house...except when you compare the cabinets in the kitchen to the wood flooring...and the wall color to the wood flooring. I think the only answer is to save up and get a new color of floor. To think I could have avoided that by holding up the darn floor sample to the cabinets and wall sample...ugh it makes me sick. I think you will do great!

Oh, I so have the same problem. And fortunately I have a great sister-in-law who is much like your Megan. All I can say is good luck! I noticed your house on the way home from church the other day and I couldn't believe how much progress you've made! Cool!
