First Day of School in TX

Here are a few pictures of the girls on their first day of school in Lubbock! I almost forgot to take some, so I snapped these just as we were walking out the door.

Initially we planned on moving after the first of the year, instead of the end of December. But, once we realized when the first day of school was, both in NM and in TX, we decided to come before New Years. We knew it would be an easier adjustment for the girls if they started back to school when everyone else did. So, the girls were able to start school here in Lubbock at the same time everyone else came back from Christmas break.

They were very nervous and anxious, but when I picked them up at the end of the day, they were both grinning from ear to ear. So far they have had a great experience, and love their new school! They have both made friends, and seem to have great teachers as well! The change has gone much better than any of us could have anticipated.
